Bas Alnassar – Branch Convenor

Bas is a people orientated professional with a decade of tenure in leading public sector healthcare organisations and providing consulting services for small to medium enterprise. With experience in leadership roles providing expertise in leading effective change management initiatives in health system and service transformation, reform and quality improvement. Bas has a passion for positive change, challenging the status quo and promoting the Health Information Management profession. With a focus on championing the need for a Health Information Management perspective across the health system and supporting student and junior health information managers and aspiring clinical coders through facilitating networking opportunities and mentoring and coaching initiatives.

Sharon Campbell

Sharon Campbell – Deputy Convenor

Sharon is currently a Clinical Claims Specialist/Health Information Manager for Health Insurance Fund of Australia (HIF). She draws on more than 20 years’ experience in hospitals and health services as a Health Information Manager, Clinical Coder and Business Manager. Experience has also been gained in an academic setting across two universities.  An undergraduate degree in Health Information Management (BSc) and a masters in Health Administration from Curtin University is also held. Sharon has a focus on governance improvement with a strategic focus in health information management and serves on a number of committees including the Accreditation Council as Deputy Chair, and Convenor of the Privacy and Security Community of Practice. A lifelong goal is held to assisting and mentoring others in the field of Health Information Management

Selina Li– Events and Administrative Coordinator

Selina is a qualified Health Information Manager graduated from Curtin University with Bachelor of Health Information Management in 2014 and Master of Health Administration in 2017. 

Selina has worked in both public and private settings in Perth in HIM operational management type roles. Currently working as Medical Workforce Coordinator expanding her knowledge in HR and medical workforce. Selina is passionate about promoting the HIM profession and offering mentorship to students interested in this industry. Committed to leadership, quality patient care, lifelong learning and improvement.
