Sharon is currently a Project Officer with Community Mental Health in the Mid-West Region of Western Australia. The role provides support at a regional level to assist with significant changes in health service delivery and policy in mental health.
With over 20 years’ experience as a Health Information Manager across a number of health service areas, Sharon has extensive experience as an academic with HIM courses at both Curtin and La Trobe Universities holding Course Coordinator and Senior Lecturer positions.
As a HIMAA member for over 20 continuous years, Sharon has a strong interest and advocates in the area of rural and remote health including chairing the Rural and Remote HIM Special Interest Group for a number of years, bringing together HIMs from across Australia.
Sharon holds a Bachelor of Science, Health Information Management and a Post Graduate Masters Award in Management of Health Services from Curtin University.
