Catherine GarveyHIMAA Vice President
Catherine is the Health Administration Advisor for Northern Adelaide Local Health Network.
She has 30+ years industry experience across a wide range of HIM work areas with systems-wide process implementation of HIM leadership in metropolitan and country setting.
She has a strong interest in governance. Having a keen interest in advocating HIMs and Clinical Coder as a professional workforce and leads strategic development of HIM systems and processes to enable greater communication and connectivity of health information management.
Catherine is the current Vice President of Health Information Association of Australia (HIMAA), the professional association for Health Information Managers. As immediate Past President of HIMAA Catherine has and continues to participate in many HIMAA Committees to shore up the health of the Association.
A member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, she is a member of a couple of Boards. Catherine graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Health Information Management (Science).
