Details of position/position requirements

Provide a quality service by ongoing management and improvement of the Health Information Service and the Health Information Systems at Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre (RTRC)
Undertake completion of Morbidity coding of inpatient episodes at RTRC
Undertake transmission of required PRS2 data for RTRC, and the correction of errors
Respond to ad hoc data requests for separated inpatients from RTRC
Review subacute funding data for accuracy and optimal performance
Maintain up to date knowledge of developments in Health Information Management, emerging HIS issues and legislation, including Activity Based Funding (ABF) pertinent to inpatient Subacute Services and provide advice on classifications used in ABF and DHHS funding streams

Bachelor of Applied Science - Health Information Management or equivalent
Eligibility for full membership of the Health Information Management Association of Australia (HIMAA)
Knowledge of mandatory reporting and subacute funding
Knowledge and experience with NCCH ICD-10 AM and standards
Knowledge and experience with PRS2 and AIMS reporting systems
Able to work autonomously
Advanced computer skills
