The Office Manager, NALHN Medical Record Services, is responsible and accountable to the Health Administration Advisor for the outcomes of an efficient and effective administrative medical record service at both Lyell McEwin and Modbury Hospitals. Responsibilities include maintaining a high standard of clerical support and reception services of the Medical Record Department, co-ordinating the staff roster to ensure continuity of administrative support is maintained 7 days/week (where applicable), complying with procedures for planned and unplanned leave, supervision education/ training development of staff, the development and management of operational and quality improvement plans, procedures and policies relative to the area of work to ensure appropriate service development and delivery.
The position requires sound skills and experience in the area of medical record management including issues relating to Health Information Management and record storage, retention and disposal schedules. The position is also responsible for a high quality of performance delivery. The efficient and effective utilisation of Northern Adelaide Local Health Network resources in performing this role is essential.
