Indicative Total Remuneration: $89,475 - $99,403 – Temp F/T (up to 31 March 2021) – ASO5
This is an exceptional role that offers progressive career development in health information and informatics in a friendly and supportive hospital / health environment. You will provide leadership for the management and administration of PAS Database, at NALHN organisation level. To be the successful candidate, you must have expertise and knowledge of the organisational needs and business processes aligned to SA Health data management, data quality and integrity, patient registration, patient activity performance data capture associated with Casemix and health information management requirements. You will respond to and produce hospital-based projects requiring extracted information stored in NALHN PAS (ie HOMER/IBA); ad hoc, specific reports and projects, and take stewardship of training and education methodology and programs associated with PAS administration for all NALHN staff. In addition, you will be accountable for PAS/ EMR process management/ data integrity/ management.
Essential to success in this role is experience in system support and data management in a large and complex public health environment, including thorough working knowledge of computerised data collection systems relating to patient health information. Past history will display experience in providing back-end system administration support, maintenance, trouble-shooting and support of a large hospital Patient Administration/ Management System, reflecting a flexible and adaptable approach to working in a complex and dynamic environment, setting priorities and meeting deadlines. You will have proven competence in developing and delivering training and education for PAS users and measuring outcome of training impact, in addition to experience in basic computing skills, including email and word processing and in the implementation and maintenance of computing systems and writing reports.
