As a Health Information Manager with CQ Health, you'll be responsible for coordinating and managing patient/client health information in accordance with the strategic directions and quality initiatives of Queensland Health for health information management. You will provide specialist advice to Executive Officers, Facility Managers, Health Service personnel and external organisations on matters relating to health information management (medical records and clinical coding), clinical information systems, data management, medico legal/freedom of information issues, as well as medical illustration. Several key responsibilities of this role include:
- Contribute to the development of health information standards, including use of various technologies, intranet and internet applications.
- Assist in conducting education sessions and provision of advice for clinicians to ensure an understanding of clinical documentation and its impacts.
- Deliver a clinical record management service and provide advice internal and externally ensuring appropriate legislation, policies and procedures are adhered to.
