Health Information Services, Holmesglen is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic HIM or Clinical Coder to join our professional team. The state-of-the-art hospital, which opened in 2017, provides an extensive range of healthcare services including a 24-hour Emergency Department, Intensive Care, Coronary Care, Integrated Theatres, Cardiac Catheter Laboratory and Oncology services as well as providing a comprehensive range of medical and surgical services.
Located in South Road, Moorabbin and a member of the Healthscope family, Holmesglen is a beautiful facility with a committed, enthusiastic and innovative leadership team. The position is primarily responsible for timely and accurate completion of ICD-10-AM coding for all patient discharges and participation in audits and quality activities.

Successful completion of a recognised Clinical Coding course / Bachelor of Health Information Management or equivalent
Coding experience in a private or public health care facility in Australia
Up-to-date knowledge and experience in Clinical Coding using current edition of ICD-10-AM and ACHI and sound knowledge of Australian Coding Standards
Eligible for Health Information Management Association of Australia Membership or Clinical Coding Association
Experience using webPAS Patient Management System
Experience using 3M Codefinder Software
Classification negotiable and will be dependent on experience.
