About Us

Monash Health is Victoria’s largest public health service. We are proud to provide healthcare to one quarter of Melbourne’s population, across the entire life-span from newborn and children, to adults, the elderly, their families and carers. More than 18,000 employees work at over 40 care locations across south eastern Melbourne, including Monash Medical Centre, Monash Children’s Hospital, Moorabbin Hospital, Dandenong Hospital, Casey Hospital, Kingston Centre, Cranbourne Centre, and an extensive network of rehabilitation, aged care, community health and mental health facilities.

About the Team and the Role

We are looking to engage those with a keen interest in data and data quality to integrate with our team of technical specialists who provide regular, timely and accurate reporting of non-admitted activity to the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).

The VINAH Sub-Acute team’s key responsibilities are data submission, auditing, testing, documentation and training.  The team is also involved in supporting the implementation of key processes within the Health Independence Programs to ensure compliance with DHHS definitions and business rules.

About You

We are looking for an accomplished team player with a passion for people and systems who can readily demonstrate:

  • Experience providing end-user training
  • Experience and demonstrated skill and knowledge with using a PAS (e.g. HMS, iPM)
  • Experience of Microsoft Office software
  • High attention to detail
  • A willingness to learn with a positive approach to a frequently changing environment
  • Graduate HIMs are encouraged to apply

Ideally you will also have:

  • Previous experience in reporting data to the Department of Health and Human Services
  • An understanding of the relationship between data reported and Activity Based Funding

What’s in it for you?

You’ll be well supported in your role, and we’ll build a comprehensive orientation, training and development program to facilitate your smooth transition to Monash Health and to support you in achieving your career goals. You’ll also have access to a range of corporate benefits, including salary packaging options that can significantly increase your take home pay, discounted staff car parking and onsite gym.
