(Comprising salary $84,297 - $88,687, superannuation, leave loading and the value of 2 weeks extra recreation leave)
Health Information Service – Alice Springs Hospital
Two Fixed Vacancies available - One for 12 months and one for 6 months

The Alice Springs Hospital has temporary vacancies for onsite clinical coders. The hospital Emergency Department is the major trauma response centre for the region and the hospital also provides medium level Intensive Care facilities. Our case mix includes chronic kidney disease, diabetes (complex), trauma, infectious disease, respiratory disease, obstetrics, mental health, and day procedures including chemotherapy. CAHS also provides mental health services, rehabilitation services and palliative care.

This position provides timely and accurate coding of inpatient clinical information for internal and external reporting activities in accordance with the operational requirements of the NT Department of Health.
