The Independent Hospital Pricing Authority is an independent government agency established under the National Health Reform Agreement for all Australian governments to work in partnership to improve health outcomes for all Australians. The role of Independent Hospital Pricing Authority is to determine the National Efficient Price, allowing for Activity Based Funding to provide incentives for efficiency and increases transparency in the delivery and funding of public hospital services across Australia.
The Classification Officer provides input to the classification development process associated with the implementation of Activity Based Funding including refinement, data specifications and associated business rules. The Classification Officer supports the sections operations and goals by the application of strategic thinking and technical skills. This position involves analysis and project management for classification technical development and to maintain stakeholder relationship management through various working groups and committees.
Qualifications in Health Information Management would be an advantage.
